BioSTART Competition 2026 - From Idea to Pitch

Nominations open until june 30th

  • Open to:
    • Undergraduate students
    • Masters students
    • Grad students

  • Developing solutions in:
    • Healthcare & therapeutics
    • MedTech & digital health
    • Agri-food & industrial biotech
    • Environmental & marine biotechnology
    • Bioinformatics / AI in life sciences

  • Cash Prize:
    Winning teams will receive
    • €1,500 (first prize),
    • €1,000 (second prize)
    • €500 (third prize)

  • Nomination Open Call: April 28th - June 30th, 2026

  • Nomination Acceptance: Within One Week of Submission

  • Full Application Submission Deadline: July 31st, 2026

  • Six Finalist Selection Notification: September 15th.

  • BioSTART Competition (@ the BiG Forum): October 2nd, 2026

  • Three winners present at the main stage: October 3rd, 2026.
